Dress affects behavior. We encourage parents to remember this truth. This is a Christian school whose mission is to encourage Christian conduct and morality and train students to become positive Christian leaders in their world. Since dress affects behavior, we have implemented a uniform policy for students at RSCA beginning at Kindergarten. 2K, 3K, and 4K students are welcome to participate in the uniform policies but it is not mandatory, except on Wednesdays when we have Chapel. One dress uniform will be mandatory for all grades including 2K, 3K, and 4K. This uniform will be worn for Chapel on Wednesdays, certain field trips, school photographs for our yearbook, recitals and special events at RSCA.
Presently, French Toast, Land's End, and Extreme Embroidery carry the dress uniforms for both boys and girls. This does not include the boy's navy blue blazer.
Dress Uniforms for Boys (to be worn every Wednesday for Chapel and at certain school events):
Elementary: Khaki pleated or flat front double knee pant, white, short or long-sleeved oxford button-down shirt--embroidered--green plaid tie, navy blazer (embroidered). Blazer may be purchased at location of your choice
Pre-School: Khaki or navy shorts or long pants, white, short or long-sleeved oxford button-down shirt-- embroidered. Ties and blazers for preschool boys is optional.
Dress Uniforms for Girls (to be worn every Wednesday for Chapel and at certain school events):
Elementary: Embroidered green plaid V-neck pleated jumper, white, short or long-sleeved Peter Pan collared blouse with RSCA embroidered on the left collar, white knee socks, Optional: navy cardigan embroidered
Pre-School: Embroidered navy jumper, embroidered white Peter Pan collared shirt, white socks.
**Size 4 is currently the smallest jumper size available for the dress uniform. If your child can wear size 4 or larger, the green plaid jumper will be allowed as the dress uniform for your Pre-School girl.
At this time, we will continue to honor the girls V-neck pleated jumper, but as you order new dress uniforms, we will be adding the following jumpers which can be found at Lands End: Item #24671-8BPX (side pleated plaid jumper—Hunter/Classic Navy Plaid) . We were just informed that this jumper will be discontinued in the future so we will then request the front pleated jumper, Item # 06501-0BP6.
EVERYDAY UNIFORM:
Boys: Navy or Khaki pleated or flat front shorts or pants, reversible brown/black belt, embroidered, collared polo shirt, (long or short-sleeved). Students may wear ANY color polo shirt to school during the week...These shirts need to be embroidered.
Girls: Navy or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, collared polo shirt or other approved shirts from our catalogs, (long or short-sleeved). Students may wear ANY color polo shirt to school during the week...These shirts need to be embroidered.
**Skirts, dresses, and shorts are considered too short if they are shorter than fingertip length.
EMBROIDERY: All embroidery on new purchases will have our new Eagle logo. The Dress uniform logo will be gold and the casual, everyday uniform logo will be in gray. Each embroiderer knows these colors and will be glad to assist you in every way.

Shoe Policy
Although there are no uniform shoes for students, clean, neat shoes are required. For safety reasons, students must wear shoes with backs at all times. The heel height must be no more than two inches. Open toe shoes are permitted. Flip-flops are not encouraged because of safety hazards on the playground. Please wear tennis shoes on PE days.
Book Bags
Rolling book bags or any book bag with wheels is not permitted.
