Challenging College-Level Academics in a Christ-Centered Environment
Rock Springs Christian Academy is excited to expand our college-preparatory offerings through a new partnership with Ethos School in Atlanta. Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, AP (Advanced Placement) courses will be available to eligible 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.
Through this partnership, students can access a wide catalog of AP courses that align with their academic goals—while continuing to learn within a framework that supports our Christian values and RSCA’s personalized approach to education.
What Is AP?
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes offered in high school. These classes provide students with the opportunity to:
- Dive deeper into subjects they’re passionate about
- Earn college credit (with a passing score on the AP Exam)
- Strengthen their college applications
- Develop skills in time management, critical thinking, and academic independence
Students who pass an AP course—even without taking the AP exam—will still receive high school elective credit.
Course Access & Affordability
To help make AP courses more accessible for our families, the RSCA Board has approved a cost-sharing program. While one-semester courses are valued at $800 and full-year courses average around $1,000, families will pay a flat rate of $500 per course, with RSCA covering the remaining cost.
Important Notes:
10th grade students may have limited AP course options due to academic prerequisites.
- Some AP courses require students to complete specific coursework beforehand.
- To receive college credit, students must sit for and pass the official AP Exam.
- Courses are delivered online through Ethos School, but students remain fully enrolled at RSCA.
