Carpool and Student Parking
Campus Safety & Traffic Guidelines
The safety of our students, families, and staff is our top priority. Properly following drop-off, pick-up, and student parking procedures helps keep everyone safe, ensures traffic flows smoothly, and minimizes delays. Please review the guidelines below carefully and help us maintain a secure and efficient campus environment by following them each day.
Pre-K, 4th and 5th grade students will all be dropped off and picked up at the
modular building. Parents will enter the property from Chappell Mill Road onto Mae English Drive (at the big cross)
Please stay in the right-hand lane. Proceed down the drive and turn right into the modular
parking lot, drop off or pick up your child and proceed to the left side of the parking lot in
front of the RS Kid's Building. Siblings will be combined at the end of the day for one pick-up from the Butler Building.
Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students will be dropped off and picked up at the awnings below the
elementary school building next to the Learning Center. Parents will enter the property
from Chappell Mill Road onto Mae English Drive (by the big cross). Please stay in the left-hand lane. Proceed down
the drive and continue to the left side of the parking lot in front of the Children’s Building.
Follow the car line to the right hand turn in front of the Main Sanctuary and loop beside the
Learning Center and drop off or pick up at the awning. You will then circle around and exit
next to the cemetery onto Rock Springs Road. You will follow the same path for both drop
off and dismissal.
Additional Important Car line Information:
• All families will have new car tags this year. We will NOT use the older tags as a
security measure. If you need additional car tags, please contact our receptionist
Deanna Ballew for additional tags at dballew@rsca.info
• Please make sure your pickup and drop off list is up to date. Any car rider changes
need to be called in and emailed to Mrs. Ballew no later than 2:00pm. All parents
without a car tag will be required to show a picture ID and checked in our computer
system. We will not release a student to anyone without proper ID and verification.
Not having a car tag visibly hanging WILL SLOW DOWN THE LINE. Please be
considerate.
• Drop off is between 7:30 and 7:59 am. If you arrive after 8am please park and walk
your child to the either the modular or elementary building where their classroom is
located. Pre-K will sign in at the High School (3rd floor of the Children’s Building).
Please never just drop off a child if you are late. You MUST walk them in and sign in.
• Pick up starts at 2:50 and ends at 3:05 (unless the line is backed up and parents are
still actively in line to pick up students) If you arrive after 3:05 you will need to park
and walk to the elementary cafeteria side door to pick your child up from After
School and a late fee will apply.

Enter the RSCA property from Mae English Drive, located behind the Eagle’s Nest Gymnasium. Students may be dropped off or picked up at the crosswalk/sidewalk area at the RS Kids Building for safe entry and exit.
High School students should park in the gym parking lot in the spaces that are farthest from the gym. These parking spaces are numbered, and each student will be assigned a parking space. Upon arrival, students must immediately exit their vehicles and use the sidewalk and crosswalk to safely report to class.
All student drivers are required to purchase a parking permit from the High School office. Permits cost $25, with a $5 fee for replacements, and must be displayed on the vehicle regularly driven to school. The parking space for the student will be assigned when the parking permit is purchased.
Please note: Students are not permitted to use their vehicles during the school day, including trips to the gym or lunch. All students must follow parking lot and safety rules. Failure to comply may result in the loss of driving privileges.

Senior Students
Senior students are allowed to paint their assigned parking spaces. The process for Senior students to paint their parking spaces is as follows:
- Pay for and obtain a parking permit and assigned parking space.
- Submit your parking space design to the High School Principal for approval.
- After your parking space design has been approved, during the designated time you may paint your parking space. Do not paint within 6 inches of the parking space white lines and do not paint over the parking space number. Begin parking spot preparation by priming your parking spot. Priming simply means painting your background (base) color. There is no need to paint the spot white first and then repaint it. You can paint directly with your chosen base color. It may take two coats, but you only need to use your background color.
Finally, when the background is ready, paint your parking space design.
High School Students Who Pick-up Elementary Students
If your high school student will pick-up your elementary student, please contact the elementary school receptionist (Deanna Ballew) next week during preplanning and let her know. The elementary school will coordinate with after-care to make sure that you are not charged for after-care. We understand that normally you are charged for after-care if your elementary student stays past 3:15. However, your high school student will have class until 3:20. If your high school student will pick-up your elementary student, they will have until 3:30. You will only be charged for after-care if your elementary student stays past 3:30.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Hammond at dhammond@rsca.info.
