Redirect Your Georgia State Income Tax to Support RSCA

Through the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, individual taxpayers and corporations can redirect a portion of their Georgia state income tax to Rock Springs Christian Academy and receive a 100% state income tax credit.

This program creates a meaningful impact—a true win-win-win—for donors, scholarship recipients, and our RSCA community. By redirecting tax dollars you already owe, you help provide critical financial aid to deserving families seeking a Christ-centered education.

Important: The Georgia Department of Revenue caps the total amount of redirected tax credits at $120 million annually. This cap is typically reached on the first business day of the year (January 2026). To ensure your application is considered, please submit it by December 15, 2025.

How Georgia GOAL Supports RSCA Families

Financial aid recipients undergo the same admissions process as all RSCA families. Georgia GOAL funds help bridge the gap between tuition costs and what families can afford, enabling access to quality Christian education.

2025-2026 Snapshot:

  • 41 students awarded financial aid through Georgia GOAL
  • Average award per student: $1,992
  • Total tuition paid by these families: $243,280

These funds would not be possible without the generosity of Georgia GOAL donors.

How Much Can You Contribute?
To determine your eligible contribution:

  1. Review your recent Georgia tax returns—specifically line 16 on Form 500 or line 6 on Form 500-EZ—to confirm your state income tax liability.
  2. Note the maximum allowable contribution based on your filing status:
  • Single filer: up to $2,500
  • Married filing separately: up to $2,500
  • Married filing jointly: up to $5,000
  • Pass-through owner (no HB 149 election): up to $25,000
  • C Corporation, Trust, or Pass-through (with HB 149 election): up to 75% of annual tax liability

       3. Once approved, you must remit your contribution within 60 days (typically by mid-March). This payment acts as a pre-payment of your state income tax for the current year.

Note: Due to high demand, the $120 million cap is often exceeded. For 2026, a pro-ration of approximately 45% is expected, meaning you may be approved for roughly 45% of your requested amount.
