Students are expected to keep their reading and comprehension skills sharp during the summer break by completing their assigned summer reading. These assignments are designed to prepare students for the upcoming school year by challenging them with engaging, age-appropriate texts that strengthen their critical thinking and language skills. Completing the summer reading is an important part of each student’s academic success and will ensure a strong start when classes resume.
Important: Students enrolled in a Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment (DC/DE) English course who are not also taking an RSCA English class are exempt from summer reading requirements.
